Re,
After testing just now, it is sufficient to disable the "Encrypted Web Scan" module in BitDefender.
This module can be found at the following location:
- Open BitDefender Total Security Suite
- Click on the "Protection" tab
- Locate the "Online Threat Prevention" section and then click on "Settings"
- In the "Web Protection" subsection, disable "Encrypted Web Scan".
However, be aware that this will have a direct impact on the websites visited.
I would recommend disabling this option only when you want to check your emails, and re-enabling it when you are browsing the web.
In any case, it is advisable to wait for BitDefender to perform an update (which we all hope will be quick) to fix this issue.

Hello
The issue comes from a failed update of Bitdefender.
Orange is affected because its security suite includes this antivirus.

Hello
Additionally, in Thunderbird, you can display the source code of the message without opening it; maybe this wasn't possible when I was using Thunderbird a long time ago:
"To add to that, it is also possible to display the source code of the message in Thunderbird without opening it by going to View / Message Source. This does not only concern the header but the entire code of the message."

Hello
Free has implemented a new message sorting system.
X-ProXaD-SC : state=HAM :CommercialEmailGeneric this message comes from a
generic commercial, so it's of no interest.
X-ProXaD-Context: d=service.commentcamarche.net; It's probably gone through comment ça marche, so it's the generic commercial referred to by Free, hence this message passing through comment ça marche is of no interest
Thanks to Free, you know you're receiving uninteresting emails.
As it’s a new service, you probably need to update your email inbox or Thunderbird or your device to make all this work and see what is uninteresting in your emails.
If you don’t have Free, you shouldn't receive this, so I don’t know more, which means I don’t know that the commercial emails that Thunderbird throws in the trash are of no interest.

Hello,
I don’t use Free, I believe these are spam filters that the user can customize, and they are already quite old; the score indicates the statistical value of this filter, I am not sure how it is more aggressive (1,10...), in other words the criteria according to which an email deemed commercial is intercepted.
What we see here is part of the message source (which is always present in a normally received message where there is generally a utility to view it).
But we need to be consistent: if filtering occurs at the server level, we won’t even see the source, and if the spam filter has placed it in a dedicated folder, we won’t see it either unless we check those messages.
There have been several similar messages over the past few days where it was the message source that was displayed instead of the message itself; there is probably a bug in Thunderbird (which seems to be common to all these messages) or with Free if only those users are affected.

Hello
It's Free that released this filtering, and it was designed to be used with Zimbra.
I saw the information in this article.
https://www.universfreebox.com/article/26515/Free-apporte-quelques-details-sur-le-nouveau-systeme-de-tri-pour-Zimbra
But they must have made or reused a setup or a tutorial to retrieve filtered messages "for Zimbra" with this surrounding text, from Free, on a PC equipped with Thunderbird that apparently has not been informed of the method to read these "re-encoded" messages.
-
The "recent" link you are highlighting dates back to ...2014.
These filters are intended for Zimbra, and even if they were generalized to Free servers, the effect is normally, as I mentioned before, to not touch the content of the email in any way but rather, depending on the case, to either delete it directly on the server or route it to a dedicated local spam folder, as is possible in Thunderbird.
I mentioned, I don't know, that a bug or setting in Thunderbird opens the email's source and not the email itself; to better understand the origin of the problem, it would be necessary for the "victims" to see what happens in an email client other than Thunderbird or with an operator other than Free.

Hello
So if giheller feels concerned about what we're discussing, we shouldn't insist on wanting to read or open those messages with Thunderbird, especially if it happens to be a "Zimbra" server where those messages are located.
It's another method, another browser, or another software that should be tried to read his mail.
