Hello,

The quick analysis was carried out, but the in-depth analysis is taking too long, 5 hours at 65% for a 2TB disk....

My question is (drum roll)

Can I turn off my PC and pick up at 65% tomorrow?

Second question: What opens a JPEG file? I've tried XnView, Photoshop, etc.... nothing (file deleted, EaseUS was able to recover it)

Hello,

No to the first question, if we turn off the PC we interrupt the task, it is normal for it to take a long time on a large file.

Almost everything for the second one, provided of course that the file isn't corrupted, open with image software, browser..., always choose whether or not.

Hello,

Regarding your first question, unfortunately, if you turn off your PC, most data recovery software, including EaseUS, will not allow you to resume the analysis exactly where it left off.

As for the recovered JPEG file that won't open with XnView or Photoshop, it is possible that the file is damaged or partially recovered. In this case, you can try an image repair tool. For example, 4DDiG File Repair can sometimes repair such corrupted JPEG files. Alternatively, you can use an online tool to repair photos.
