Hello,
Having a lot of trouble finding a good free data recovery software, I am considering a paid one.
I found Easeus Data Recovery Wizard. It seems good to me.
Does anyone have an opinion on it?

Hello,
For free and very efficient but a bit austere, there is Photorec/testdisk

Thank you for your help.
I downloaded Photorec and tested it with an unreadable USB key.
It was great because I was able to recover many files, even though I don't know exactly what percentage I recovered since I didn't know precisely how many files were originally on my USB key.
Unfortunately, there is a big problem I hadn't considered: all the files and directories have lost their original names, and the creation date of the files and directories has also disappeared.
Is this drawback specific to this software, or will every data recovery software, whatever it may be, cause the names and creation dates of files and directories to disappear?
Apparently not, because when analyzing this USB key with Easeus Data Recovery Wizard, the names of the files and directories appeared.
Photorec/testdisk recovers everything, even files that you had intentionally deleted; sometimes they are unreadable because they are incomplete and therefore corrupted. As for the Easeus software, it's the same; see this page, everything is indicated https://www.easeus.fr/tutoriel/data-recovery-wizard-free-manuel.html. In my opinion, it won't perform better than Testdisk/Photorec.
I understood your explanations, but there is still something that puzzles me.
How do you explain the fact that I was able to see the names of my files and folders on the problematic drive with Easeus Data Recovery Wizard?
