Hello.
I have a free email box and an Outlook account.
Since Outlook, I can't send a message to Hotmail even though it works fine with all other operators.
However, I do receive Hotmail messages.
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
Please specify from which email account you are sending your messages: free account or outlook account??
Then which outlook email software is it:
1) outlook online?
2) outlook on PC: outlook new?
3) outlook on PC: outlook classic = outlook from the office suite?

Thank you for your prompt response.
The messages are sent from my Outlook Classic 2016 account on PC and then to the Free server.
I had never had a problem until yesterday.

OK.
You are using Office Outlook 2016 apparently with 2 email accounts: one account xxxxxx@free.fr and one Microsoft account: yyyyyyy @hotmail.fr StatusMember
From which of these 2 accounts do you send your messages? In other words, which outgoing mail server do you use: the one from Free or the one from Microsoft?

From Outlook, it is impossible to send a message to Hotmail while it works fine with all other operators.
Microsoft has just strengthened email authentication and it is very likely that Free has not yet upgraded its outgoing mail server to comply with this security enhancement.
A temporary solution would be to modify the Free SMTP server in your Outlook account by replacing it with the SMTP of your Hotmail account.
To make this change, you need to go through the control panel --> user accounts --> Mail (Microsoft Outlook) --> mail accounts --> modify Free account
