Hello,
On Outlook 2016, I just created an IMAP la poste.net account to replace a Free account that has been non-functional for 15 days (question already asked in the forum). The problem is that I can't delete a message from the inbox because I get the following message: "operation cannot be performed, the item has already been deleted."
What should I do in this case?
Thank you for the reply.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 98.0.4758.102

To fix this problem, you need to go to the menu bar and click on "File" to access the account settings.

Click on the "Account Settings" button, then on "Manage Profiles," which will display the "Mail Configuration" window.

Click on the "Show Profiles" button, which will open a new "Mail" window. In the table, select the relevant profile and click on the "Properties" button to open the "Mail Configuration" window, then click on "Mail Accounts" to access the account settings.

Select the account in question and click on "Edit" to access the POP and IMAP account settings.

In the bottom right, click on the "More Settings" button, which opens a new window for "Internet Mail Settings." Choose the "Advanced" tab, go to the "Root folder path" line, and type "inbox" after the colon, then confirm by clicking "OK."

Close all windows and restart Outlook; the problem should be resolved. You will also notice that the various folders, such as the Outbox, Sent Items, etc., will be back in French.

Hello

There are 2 possibilities in my opinion:
1) repair/reindex the Outlook PST file. We can even start by "compressing" the PST which does a reindexing.
Click on the File tab.
Click on Account Settings, then again on Account Settings.
Under the Data Files tab, click on the data file to compact, then click on Settings.
Click on Compact Now.

2) Repair the Office suite via the control panel.

Hello
Do you already have messages in Outlook that you want to keep, or do you want to "start over" from scratch?
See you!

If the answer helped you, a little click on the thumbs up is great... If it's resolved, that's perfect.
