Hello,

I have had a sudden connection problem for 2 days. Indeed, I can no longer access the internet via my PC, with the following error message: "Unable to reach the DHCP server." I would like to clarify that I am connected through a powerline adapter and I have never encountered this issue before.

I have already performed tests but all without success, here they are to guide you:

- Unplug and replug everything
- Updated motherboard and network drivers via Device Manager
- Reset network settings on the PC
- Contacted the provider to check if it could be from their side
- Followed this tutorial (with their error message) https://www.malekal.com/reinitialiser-ou-reparer-le-reseau-windows-11/ until the installation of the software because there was no connection

netsh int ipv4 reset catalog: reset failed. Access denied
netsh int ipv4 reset catalog: reset failed. Access denied

- Reset of TCP/IP (with their error message)

netsh int ip reset: no issues
netsh winsock reset: reset failed. Access denied
ipconfig /release: no issues
ipconfig /renew: an error occurred while renewing the Ethernet interface: unable to contact your DHCP server the request timed out
ipconfig /flushdns: no issues

Thank you to those who will help me, have a good evening.

    Hello,

The problem is probably with the powerline adapters,

    try:

    1/ to re-pair them.

Unpairing: press and hold the home button on each for 10 seconds

Re-pairing: plug them both into a power strip and press the button on each for 3 seconds.

2/ to connect the PC directly to the router, you will need to move it.

    And there you go....

But goodness, those line breaks are so annoying!!

A right-click on the network icon brings up a tool called "troubleshoot network problems."
