Hello,
I have an AD server (under 2003) and a DHCP server (under 2008) in my network. Both are in the same subnet.
I have placed my DHCP server under the AD domain, the issue I am currently facing is that I need to authorize my DHCP server in Active Directory!
From what I have researched online, this apparently takes place in the DHCP options (mmc command), and I should just right-click on DHCP and choose the "Authorize" option (which I do not have) or go to Action and "Manage Authorized Servers", where I enter the address of my AD server, and I receive the error message: ("The DHCP service could not contact Active Directory")
A little detail: I am doing all this on a virtual machine, maybe that's the cause of the problem?!
Thank you for your future responses!
Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

Well,
I found it!!
I logged in with the domain administrator account on the DHCP server and it's working!
But I don't understand why it wasn't working with the administrator account I created for my DHCP server on the AD..
I don't understand everything regarding permissions on Windows.
