RE_

--> Copy what is found here https://textup.fr/839705XR from start:: to end:: (without pasting it anywhere)

--> Open FRST (or FRST64) as an administrator and click on Fix
If FRST seems to freeze or is not responding, let it run

--> The PC will prompt you to restart, accept it

--> A fixlog file is created in the same location as FRST, post it like the other reports

--> Let me know if you still have the problem.

OK, uninstall Malwarebytes so it doesn't interfere with the process.

We will repair Windows while keeping Applications/data/settings/etc.

*****************

/!\ always remember to back up your important data before any system manipulation, although data should be backed up permanently and regularly

--> Download the ISO corresponding to your PC

--> Once downloaded, double click to mount it in the virtual drive (or right click => Open with => Windows Explorer)

--> Right click and run as administrator on setup.exe

--> Click on Next

--> Click on Accept

--> Check that Keep files and applications is checked

--> Click on Install

Windows 10 will reinstall itself while keeping the data and the programs

Then check if you still have the problem.

Hello,

I followed your instructions but got the same result as when I tried to reset the PC. Error, unable to complete the installation, apparently Windows Update is down, I tried troubleshooting but with no success either, the error code:

  • 0xC1900101 - 0x30018

The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during the SYSPREP_SPECIALISE operator.

This corrupted file really messed up my PC.

Ah, finally, it's fixed, I followed the Windows instructions for this error, I did a chkdsk/f C: and my computer finally restarts normally.

Thanks for your help and good luck.

OK. Can you post the report to see what he fixed?

=> Download Lady's chkdsk Report

=> Run it, a report will be created, post it unless it's empty

OK, before reinstalling, check the status of your SSD/HDD just in case
