Hello group

We are a small association (sitescap.fr) and we are changing our hosting provider for financial reasons.

I exported the mysql database from my old host. No problem.

I imported this database to OVH after deleting the existing database. No problem either.

I imported all the WP files and others from the root of my old host via FTP and transferred them to my new host.

I can access my newly installed WordPress. No problem.

Except that when I launch the browser to access my site, nothing happens.

I looked into WP and noticed that my theme is not installed. I tried to install another theme, but each time I get the message "Installation failed" and "Installation failed: Unable to create the directory."

How can I fix this and what should I correct? Thank you in advance for your insight.

    Hello,

    This must come from the theme folder permissions; what we need to check are the read and write rights of the folder.

      Thank you for your response. The files were indeed in 705. I changed them to 755.

      However, the theme file was missing in the wp-contents.

      The two combined allowed me to fix everything.
