Hello

How to scan a document from a Samsung SCX-3205 printer to a computer using a cable?
There is indeed a "scan to" button, but what do I do next?

Thank you in advance

    Hello,

If, as I suppose, the scan button is on the printer, simply place the document on the glass and press this button.

The document will be saved in the documents folder or in a subfolder named Samsung.

Some scanning software allows you to choose the file format (text, pdf, doc).

If that doesn't work, it may be because the driver is not compatible with your version of the operating system.

On PC (with Windows), you can obtain a scan from the file menu in Paint.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

Indeed, the manuals I found do not explain this function.

But georges97 describes it quite well.

Basically, there are two ways to scan...

1° using software like Paint from the PC ... top left, small triangle ===> "From a scanner or camera" and continue through the menus, then start your scan

2° From the printer, using the scan button... and the result will go into a folder on the PC..

I believe this destination folder for the scanned files must be set beforehand... either at installation time... or in the printer's "Preferences" before doing any scans...

There you go... this printer is also from HP... it's the same one.
