    Thank you Jordan,

    lokforit appears in the list of installed programs without a location, unlike all the other programs. Its size is 1MB version 1 installed on 03/16/2025.
    Ccleaner and Glary also indicate it in their lists.
    I think it's a Trojan horse or something similar.
    Malwarebytes and Avast haven't reported anything.

    Thank you

    Hello, I couldn't find anything regarding "lokforit", but there is an adware called "LookForIt" that adds ads to browsers.

    If that's the case, it might have installed alongside another software you have installed on your PC. You should be able to uninstall it without any issue.

    Thank you Jean and Jordan.

    I usually pay attention.
    In the Windows 10 application system, it offers me "uninstall" instead of "Modify" and "Uninstall".
    In Glary "properties" I have the following path:
    cmd.exe /c reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\€ /f& del /f & start firefox www.lokforit.com/remove

    A search for "lokforit" on my hard drive yielded nothing.
    However, in the registry:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\lokforit]
    "DisplayName"="lokforit"
    "ApplicationVersion"="1.0"
    "Publisher"="lokforit"
    "DisplayIcon"=" "
    "DisplayVersion"="1.0"
    "InstallDate"="20250316"
    "EstimatedSize"=dword:00000400
    "UninstallString"="cmd.exe /c reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Uninstall\\lokforit /f& del /f & start firefox www.lokforit.com/remove"

    On 03/16/2025, when I turned on my computer, an unusual message asked me if I accept Firefox to modify my PC, I clicked yes without thinking!
    Firefox was not functioning normally. I therefore uninstalled it. Avast had indicated that the site I wanted was corrupted. I opened it anyway because I know it. But now I know it is corrupted.

    Bing finds 3 sites:
    https://www.bing.com/search?q=lokforit&form=QBLH&sp=-1&lq=0&pq=lokforit&sc=11-8&qs=n&sk=&cvid=AB9D1CCB17714A7D83DBCC95EA2691D5&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&ghpl=
    The response is 404.

    Thank you all.

    I read myself again...

    It was on 03/15/2025 that I wanted to open the site declared corrupted by Avast.
    It's not Firefox that I will reinstall because it is not corrupted..
    Thank you once again to everyone.
