Yellow/brown spot on laptop screen

Hello,

A yellowish stain appeared on my laptop screen today. You can't see it very well in the picture, but in reality, it stands out a lot.

The laptop hasn't come into contact with any liquid or anything else...

Does anyone know what could have caused this and how to get rid of it?

It's an HP Victus that I bought a little over a year ago :/

Hello,

This is a known issue with the HP Victus. Several users have reported the appearance of a yellowish stain on their screen, like the one in the photo. This is potentially caused by overheating. Unfortunately, the only solution would be to replace the screen.

I think the best thing to do would be to contact HP to see what repair options they offer for your model.
