Good evening everyone, while putting on some fake nails I accidentally splashed my laptop screen. I've tried everything, white spirit, nail polish remover, but I can't get this mess off the screen. HELP !!!

Configuration: iPad / Safari 6.0

Good evening, thank you for your response. I should clarify that it’s nail glue and not nail polish, which is why none of these products work. I was hoping to find a solution with something I could have at home; I understand that this is quite a long shot, but I’m really troubled about having to wait to go to a store. :/

Well, I don't know, maybe lemon juice works miracles too...

Otherwise, I was thinking about ammonia, it cleans windows well ;)

No luck with the lemon juice, thanks for the idea, but it's a very tough glue!

      Yes, I see that...

I should have been more interested in chemistry lol

So I was given a tip, a grandmother's recipe that won't ruin the screen: a mixture of coarse salt and vinegar...

If it worked for the person in question, I think there’s a good chance it will work here too ;)

    Good evening

    1) Try the test with acetone or ether on a bit of glue applied to a test surface.

    2) If it is effective, I don’t know how the phone screen will react upon contact with these substances?

Ether seems like a good idea, as long as I can find some...

Acetone, well, the screen won't withstand that lol

When you have a nice pharmacist, you can try to get a few ml of ether... the screen has already withstood white spirit and nail polish remover (with or without acetone), it seems pretty resilient.

Yes, as resistant as the glue that refuses to separate from him! I'm going to try the pharmacist's approach, hoping he will be understanding.. thank you.

      Hello everyone

I have the solution to remove glue because I had the same issue. After trying several things, I finally managed to remove it with a magic eraser. It's so simple, but with a little patience and elbow grease, I assure you it works. I was amazed.
However, I didn't dare to do it on the screen.
      Good luck, girls!
