Like many apparently, I was billed (139 € in my case) by the TotalAV antivirus on 10/14/2024. Not being the author of this debit, I only realized it in February 2025: do they have the right to keep our credit card details and charge at will? I immediately blocked my credit card. Having not used their antivirus despite this subscription of which I was unaware, I requested a refund. After several exchanges, a person finally replied that I had 14 days to dispute. Dishonest reply, still, one had to be the author of the subscription renewal. I threatened to contact a lawyer? What do you think? What other solution, please? THANK YOU.

    Hello.

This happens when you subscribe to a service with automatic renewal because your bank details don't come out of nowhere; you provided them. Now, hiring a lawyer to sue a company based in the USA, I don't think that will scare them. This topic has been discussed dozens of times on the forum; just read what has already been said, and also see https://help.totalav.com/fr/facturation.
