Hello,
I draw your attention all!
I accessed the website www.espacement.com out of curiosity, a pornographic site.
It was actually to watch a porn video, the access was stated as free, but it requires entering your email address and your credit card number along with the last three digits written on the back of the card to verify your age.
Until that moment, I didn't see any payment conditions as soon as you wanted to access it.
So, I entered my banking details, and I proceeded to the next step which asked me to unsubscribe or retrieve a password or for any other information (click here).
I tried everything to unsubscribe but it didn't work at all, despite this, I noticed that my account was charged 166 euros.
I immediately blocked my credit card to prevent my account from being charged again.
I am ready to file a complaint with the gendarmerie.

You have to be a bit stupid to fall for that... and there are free sites anyway...

Hello, the same thing happened to me a few days ago, a porn video that was advertised as free, and I was charged 89 euros, which really put me in deep trouble... I'm disgusted, so I just blocked my card.
Does anyone know if we can take legal action against such sites?
Thank you. -
hi
It's all well and good, but you have to be mature in your head.
Are you reacting to what you did?? Give the number of your credit card + the cryptogram to check your age!!!!!!!!
I understand that you're in trouble now, but you have to be at least a little attentive.
When you give the number of your credit card and the cryptogram, you are definitely PAYING for something! -
File a complaint... at the end of the day, no one forced you to go to that site, no one forced you to give your banking information...
It could possibly qualify as breach of trust, but I think it's more of a matter for the Commercial Court... and I think, in my opinion, the company is not based in France (I don't know, I don't know the site, but porn is like casinos)... it might be difficult.
Good luck

It makes you want to open a scam porn site like that with so many suckers...
Maybe even with borderline pedophile photos promising to give some if you subscribe, I’m sure it must rake in a small fortune XD -
the criminal side, filing a complaint, etc., it’s obvious that it would serve NO PURPOSE.
The only thing is the bank, you need to cancel the payment, the bank can do it and of course block all other payments coming from them.
It also depends on the insurance you have with your credit card.

Always read the terms and conditions when a site asks for your details, even if it's annoying, it's worth it! I just read the terms and conditions of the mentioned site, and they do indeed say "By becoming a member and through this means, you authorize the charge on your card for all fees and/or charges corresponding to the Memberships."

Hello,
All these mocking and childish comments drive me mad!
Scams don't just happen to others.
Labeling the thread as "resolved" is shameful, as it remains unaddressed, with ineffective responses... Unfortunately, this reflects the overall state of this site.
No, the response "You should've been careful, idiot!" does not satisfy me.
We're not talking about carelessness here, but rather a betrayal of trust by a website.
At a time when personal data protection is no longer a priority, when your customer information is being sold online and your habits are being recorded in databases...
We can no longer laugh at these kinds of problems.
What frightens me in this testimony is the possibility that YOUR child could provide YOUR bank details.
Teens can, as naively as we did, secretly take Dad's or Mom's card and access sites out of curiosity.
Demanding such sensitive information, even if the site claims it's to confirm the identity of an adult, should be BANNED.
For a child, as well as for adults, it's a trivial act, with no consequences... it's just for fun...
Banking details should only be provided during a banking transaction.
Any identity authentication (name, age, and identification on a site) should be avoided at all costs (even from a bank, if its use is not secure and justified).
I encourage anyone who has experienced such problems to report it, so that police surveillance services, phishing databases, and antivirus programs can prevent others from being trapped.
This needs to be discussed, and treating victims this way is disgraceful.
Filing a police report to get reimbursed by your bank does not solve the problem; it's an easy way out.
However, informing users about these practices is crime prevention.
The police are not there to count the "naive" ones who get scammed, and their scope of action is limited in cases of cybercrime.
But in any case, inform your children about these kinds of problems, and offer to assist them if such a request arises... even if the taboo surrounding porn needs to be broken. It’s a good way to explain that the credit card is the parents' domain and that there are many scams to avoid.
The situation needed to be clarified, given the inappropriate reactions of the contributors. -
Really, you've been told for years never to give your banking cards and codes
This will teach you to believe that this happens to other people. -
