Moving image with text in Word

Hello, I have an image in my Word document that moves whenever I press enter on a new page of my doc. I have right-clicked and unchecked "move with text" but it doesn’t work; as soon as I reach the bottom of the page and go to a new one, the image goes down. Thank you.
PS: I have screenshots but I don't know how to insert them.
I'm trying to insert them here

Hello,
Try this:
Select the button: Suitable and check: correct the position on the page.

A screenshot doesn't help at all. We need to see your document. Did you check what I told you? Did you look at which paragraph your image is anchored to?
Since you haven't displayed the formatting characters, we can only see the anchor and that's it...

With Word, or with any software, it's better to think ahead.
Furthermore, unless it's absolutely necessary, it's far preferable not to give any formatting to images. This way, the image will behave like text, with no more issues regarding anchoring.

You can do it by default by going to Options => Advanced Options
Section Cut, Copy, and Paste
Insert/Paste images => In line with text
Otherwise, manually: once the image is inserted, click the layout options button => In line with text

Since you're taking screenshots with arrows, you really need to use the drawing areas that are made for that.
With the drawing areas, your drawing groups stay together.

Hello,
When I insert an image, schematically, I insert 3 paragraph break marks and insert it at the second one.
The image in question will of course be moved if I write enough text above the first mark so that this text plus image no longer fits on the same page, but it will not move no matter what text I write from the third one. -
Mmmmmmmmmmm I didn't understand :( sorry :(

I make an entry so that there are 3 paragraphs, one above where I intend to insert the image, one below.

I place my cursor on the middle mark and I insert the image.

If I add some filler above, there is no way, if there is a lot, for the image not to eventually be pushed onto the next page, a page break would not change anything.
If, on the other hand, this added filler is not to the extent that it causes a page change, I can add 500 pages of filler from the paragraph below the image without the image moving.
Hello,
I didn't really understand your problem. You say that you checked the "move with text" option, and you are surprised that the image moves down with the text.
What you need to know is that an image (with wrapping) is always anchored to a paragraph. So, you need to check which paragraph this image is anchored to.

You can upload your document here, for example:
Don't forget to give us the link.

Hello, no I wrote that I unchecked:
I right-clicked and unchecked "move with text."
On the image host you gave me, I need to create an account and I do not wish to leave my email.
Hello,
There is no need to provide an email address on cjoint.com. It is only used to manage the uploaded document.
So you can simply leave the document for a limited time and it will disappear on its own.
There are many of us on the forum using cjoint.com.
There have never been any issues, and if you do provide an email address, you will never receive any further solicitations.-----------------
To post an image on the forum, click on the icon that I have outlined in the message composition window:
That's what I checked, but as soon as I change the page, the image moves down.
Hello, I read and thank you for this link, I understood the story of the anchor and the paragraph, but it's going to be a huge mess when we have multiple pages with several images; when changes need to be made, we need to think about organizing ourselves in advance.
No matter which app is used, it is always better to get organized in advance.
The best way to insert an image is still to not use any wrapping, unless absolutely necessary. This way, the image is treated like text and doesn't move.

Thank you, I will take a look at that.
I did a test today when I insert the image with "inline" wrapping and well, it still moves.
Off mode
images that move, we call that a movie or an animation, right?
sorry

Hello,
Indeed, anything goes.
Experience just carried out right now in Word 2019 on a page already full without any particular enhancements (page or section breaks) of inserting an image (insert, image, this device), it doesn’t move as soon as the choice is made in the advanced options in Cut to align with the text to insert.
You can add another layer once the image is inserted by clicking on the layout options symbol and ensuring that Move with text is not checked, but this is generally not even necessary.
Perhaps, I don’t believe so, a template based on a specific style could cause these unexpected modifications.
I've got this

After that I'm lost :(

On other applications, I set the merge format (by default), but I guess that's not what changes the situation.
You might also want to upload an example of a few pages from a faulty document on cjoint with some random text and anonymized images to check if the behavior is due to a Word setting or specific enhancements included in the document.
