So good evening, I'm contacting you because I'm desperate. I've often seen issues resolved regarding drivers, and I would like, if possible and if it's not too much trouble, for you to help me as well.

I own a uowhy Y13 Gen 2021 PC which I completely reset by reinstalling Windows 11. All my drivers are working normally except for two: the camera and a firmware, but the most important one is my sound driver that isn't working, even though it is shown in my device manager. I've scanned with alllesdriver, and it told me that my driver is up to date, yet there's still the sound icon with the cross, and no option to get sound.

Thank you for your help, you are my last option.

Hello,

Expand the menu --> Other devices
Post the hardware identification numbers of the problematic devices.

Also post the one found in --> Firmware

Right-click on a device
Properties
1- Details tab
2- In Property, select --> Hardware identification numbers
3- In Value, post this hardware identification number.

Also check for device alerts in --> System devices.

so here are the ID numbers and my Windows is 64 bits

Apart from the ig18 and the camera in system peripherals, there are no alerts

This number corresponds to HDMI audio for displays and this device is not in alert.

In system devices, the High Definition Audio Controller is present and without alert?

Sure, it's not on alert, but it's not working; I have no sound.

And here is what I have as controllers in system peripherals, there is no High Definition Audio Controller.

Run an sfc:
Windows key + X
Select --> Windows PowerShell (admin) or Windows Terminal (administrator)
Type --> sfc /scannow and enter

A system file check will take place.

Download and install --> 7Zip 64 bits

Try this driver -->> Realtek <<--
Not sure it's going to work???

Right-click on the driver --> drv_e15433_w1x.zip
Select --> 7Zip
Choose --> extract to "drv_e15433_w1x\"

Go to the unzipped driver folder --> drv_e15433_w1x
Folder --> 01_Audio_E15433
Folder --> 01_Audio_6.0.9571.1
Run the command script file --> _install.cmd

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then, restart and see how it goes.

Go into the BIOS and check if the audio device is enabled.

What do you have lower down in this image?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the image in message 13 --> no audio device installed
Did the audio work before you reinstalled Windows?
The audio device should correspond to Intel Smart Sound Technology?

Check again in the BIOS, set default settings and restart.

Go back to the Device Manager and check if the audio card is present, either in --> Other devices or Sound, video and game controllers.
It is possible that the device is --> Multimedia audio controller

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the problem persists:
Is the BIOS up to date?
If not, perhaps update the BIOS before reinstalling Windows?
If yes, proceed with a clean installation of Windows 11
--> How to install Windows 11

Good evening, sorry I didn't see your message. With the help of a contact, sty1001, I flashed the BIOS with a bin file from my PC and the sound came back right after that. But the only problem was that I had no more storage due to all the drivers I tried. I was advised to reflash the PC with Rufus and the same ISO.

And that's when, without knowing it, you helped me. This time in my device manager, I had a lot of unknown devices and the audio controller device was not installed this time.

I then typed the ID number each time for each driver, and it often gave me links with old tutorials from you. I did this for all my faulty drivers by referring back to your old tutorials while typing the device ID, I was able to restore the sound and there are no more defective devices.

Thank you again; indirectly, you were able to help me, and I still thank you for the time you dedicated!
