Connecting a Projector and PC Without HDMI Cable.

Hello,

I just bought a projector but I would like to share my computer on the projector without an HDMI cable. I don't really know the possible ways, in fact, I get very confused with all the existing terms and I can't find a video showing it clearly. I saw that there was a LAN option on my projector, but I have no idea what that does.. I'm really a novice in this area. Wi-Fi Bluetooth (except for connecting my wireless headphones to my phone via Bluetooth) I really don't know anything, especially about connecting to the projector with the PC. HDMI to HDMI cable works very well, but I don't want a cable running across my living room. I also saw someone who connected a plugin or something like that to the ceiling where their projector was, with a small HDMI to USB cable. She connected HDMI to the projector but also USB to the projector which were linked together. I don't really understand the principle for the PC to receive the signal...

Anyway, I'm very lost, thank you for your advice in advance.

Hello,

What are the references (Brand and model) of your projector and your PC?

It's very hard to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...

Hello, thank you very much first of all for taking the time to respond to me and to try to help me. I have an Epson EB-595 wi projector and an HP notebook 17-x064nf.

Thanks again in advance.

I think the solution lies in a wireless HDMI transmitter system.

A TX HDMI transmitter (and USB for powering the transmitter) connects to the PC.

A RX receiver connects to an HDMI input (and USB for powering the receiver) of your projector.

Thank you very much for your reply. I understand that these little gadgets allow you to do without cables. But with the technology of my two devices, can't I simply use Wi-Fi?

Your projector has a WiFi option... But do you have the appropriate WiFi key?

Hello Bala, we are ready to help ELODIE, there is a wifi key available at wisunex but no projector.

But I think that Epson has a good online support service, you should go through that.

Note that this is a specific ultra-short throw device with particular interactive features aimed at professionals. I am curious to know its upcoming use.

Hello,

The problem lies in the compatibility of the key...

At Epson, the only compatible key they mention is the ELPAP09 or ELPAP10
However, these keys are said to be "out of stock" at Epson and new ones are not cheap.

If you think these are usable with keys that I suspect are counterfeit on Aliexpress, there are ELPAP10 available.

Yes, and furthermore, I've been advised against those Epson keys which actually cause problems.

Thank you, but if I understand correctly, there are two sides: one USB and one HDMI, and two tools to connect to the projector and one for the PC. However, for example, if I want to connect the phone to the projector, I don't have both a USB and an HDMI port on it? Or do I just need to connect one to the projector and then it can be accessed by both the computer and the phone via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi? Maybe the fact that there are two in the photo is just showing different ways to do it, but only one is needed?

No, the HDMI transmitters are only there to create connections between HDMI ports.

The USB ports are only used to power the transmitters (transmitter and receiver).

I have no idea what the specific function of those WIFI keys that Epson offered is.

Does a Chromecast key work? Probably, but personally, I know nothing about it.

As for the phone? Probably need to try it.
The manual shows two different types of USB ports: USB-A and USB-B.

I think it would be more reasonable, as Glandu suggested, to present your problem directly to Epson.
