Unable to decompress Google Photos files.
Franck -
Hello,
To perform an external backup, I downloaded my photos from Google Photos using Google Takeout.
The download of the folders went smoothly. In order to decompress them, I used "Extract" but the incident below occurs.
- "Access denied. Before extracting the files, you need to change the permissions for this compressed folder."
I clicked on "Folder Properties," Security Tab, but there is no "Edit" button and it states: "The requested security information is unavailable or cannot be displayed." And for all 10 folders, the same remark applies.
I used this method 2 months ago on this PC and it worked well.
How can I resolve this issue?
Thank you for your future advice.

Hello.
I deleted my download and renewed it following the extraction incident.
It's still impossible to decompress a TakeOut folder.
When I click "Extract," a window opens again. "Before extracting the files, you need to change the permissions for this compressed folder."
In the properties of the folder to be extracted, under the "Security" tab, "The requested security information is not available or not displayed."
So the same problem persists even with different decompression apps.
I am the administrator of my PC.

Good evening,
I have the same problem!
Cannot open the imported Zip files ("no access").
If anyone has the solution, I'm interested!
Because right now, it feels like forced storage space sales...
