Reliability WISE MEMORY OPTIMIZER
SolvedBarbara66R Posted messages 89 Status Member -
Hello
I would like to install this software on a computer, and I would like to know if it is reliable? Is it really free, and can we actually upgrade the RAM of a PC from 8GB to, for example, 16GB?
Thank you in advance
Have a good day

Hello.
In computing, magic doesn't exist; this software is, in my opinion, useless and will disappoint you. To increase your RAM from 8 to 16 GB, you need to install an 8 GB RAM stick, assuming your PC allows it, but since you haven't mentioned anything about your PC, I can't say more.

Your PC has two slots for RAM, so one of them is free. Your PC supports up to 32 GB of RAM, on this page, you will find all the information I just gave you as well as the compatible RAM modules for your PC.
For your information, your PC is very easy to disassemble, changing the RAM is child's play; there's no need to go to a technician. Just watch this video.

Hello,
Is it really free?
On the official website of the publisher.
Wise Memory Optimizer
Free Memory Optimization Tool
It's amusing, a software that allows RAM optimization while also consuming it in the background, (memory that wouldn't have been used without the presence of this useless software...) and which, in fact, forces the computer to consume extra RAM.
We explain almost every day here that Windows doesn't need this kind of free software (or non-paid...) to function properly.
and finally, can we really upgrade the RAM of our PC from 8GB to, for example, 16GB?
No, an 8GB memory stick will never deliver the equivalent of 16GB.

Hello,
It's a fairly well-known company (Wisecleaner.com), not just for bad reasons. For almost 20 years, they have designed some good programs, but this RAM program seems useless to me; it's not that it consumes a lot, but rather that it cannot eliminate much unnecessary RAM consumption.
Normally, Windows reallocates the freed RAM without us needing to interact.
It can't invent it.
Wise Disk Cleaner is more useful from the same company for removing unnecessary files, cleaning up... -
To help further, (to set you on the right track) with 2 or 3 tools, you can limit the amount of RAM consumed by programs.
You can view the processes in real time, their company, and details on consumption with Process Explorer (procexp64 extracted from the .zip archive) to be launched by right-clicking as an administrator.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer
To optimize RAM, the best thing is to limit the resources unnecessarily consumed, (limit the processes on automatic startup), with the Autoruns program and services.msc from Windows for the services.Download Autoruns here, extract everything into a new folder anywhere, and run it as an administrator. (Autoruns64)
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns
Look at the details, do some research.
In Autoruns under the "Logon" and "Scheduled Tasks" tabs, disable or delete unnecessary third-party items that are not Microsoft or important Windows items from automatic startup, either by unchecking them or by right-clicking > Delete.Look at the "Services" tab, but do not disable them if they are sometimes useful; it’s better to set them to "Manual" (on demand) using services.msc from Windows by right-clicking on the Start button > Run: services.msc
With Autoruns, we have the list of Non-Windows services, which helps.
Changes will take effect upon restarting Windows.
