Hello,

I am using the latest version of LibreOffice (24.2.4.2). When I insert a video into a slide, it automatically plays as soon as I reach the slide.

Is there no way to manually start the video (by clicking) when I want to during the slide presentation?

Thank you in advance to everyone.

Thank you. I was already able to make this interaction, but in practice, I want the video to be an integral part of the slide and not have an external application to play the video in a separate window.

If we insert a video using the "insert AUDIO or VIDEO" option, we place the object at the desired size and location, which is what I'm looking for... but the problem is that the video starts immediately.

Hello, I was facing the same issue and I came across this discussion.

I just worked around the problem by taking a screenshot of the first image of the video and inserted it into my slide.

Through the interaction menu, I chose "go to document" and for the document, I provided the path to the video.

    Hello,

A video embedded in a slide starts automatically as soon as the slide is opened.
To set it to start on click, see the interactions

Thank you Trotte-menu for your response.

I had already used interactions on images, but specifically for videos, I don't see anything in that menu that allows me to disable the autoplay of the video when the slide starts.

I would be surprised if such an option is not possible.

    Hello,

On your slide, insert > shape (for example shapes and symbols...) > Right click > Interaction > Go to document > Browse to the video file > Open > OK
The video opens with the player (VLC for example). Once the viewing is complete, close it and continue the slideshow.
