For some time now, red crosses have appeared on my screen and in the file explorer.

What is this due to?

Hello

This may mean that there is one or more files that are out of sync with OneDrive.

Well, it seems that it could also be files that are being monitored by your antivirus, which grumbles about certain files by marking them with a red cross; it's not mine that does that, so...

Hello,

It is indeed a synchronization problem with OneDrive. You can:

1) stop the synchronization: right-click on the icon on the right in the taskbar, then Pause syncing

2) right-click on the desktop and choose Refresh

What is well conceived is clearly expressed,

Infinitely thank you to the 2 contributors.

Since I removed the synchronization with OneDrive, I no longer have the red crosses on the screen.

In the file explorer, I only have 2 files left with these crosses.
