Hello everyone,
A "legal" version of Microsoft Office had been installed on my computer for several years.
Everything disappeared yesterday afternoon (.exe, shortcuts, taskbar, menus...), as if an uninstallation had taken place.
A random document was displayed, I was working on images, and an hour later, no more Office.
I'm not a beginner in IT (unfortunately, 55 years in the field...), but now I'm at a loss.
If anyone can help me, I would be grateful.

Hello.
Try a system restore for this, press the Windows and R keys simultaneously, a window will appear, copy/paste this rstrui.exe, then click OK, the system restore opens, perform a system restore to a date prior to your problem.
If it’s still the same and it’s no longer in the installed programs (to check), you have no choice but to reinstall it, see this page.

I did the system restore you recommended, but unfortunately, I couldn't recover my Office.
I'm going to look into how I had it installed and how to reintegrate the changes I made.
I feel like this isn't the only damage (file extension/software associations, for example). I don’t know what action taken on my system, against my will, caused this.
Could a Windows update be the cause?

Good idea, I checked, I'm under the right user code.
I'm also wondering if it might be my antivirus that, out of a fit of madness, quarantined it.
The quickest thing will probably be to reinstall it from the original CD (yes, it's old...).

Hi, this uninstallation of Office remains a mystery (Excel was also uninstalled). It's not my antivirus, it's not me: I noticed it after modifying a document 30 minutes earlier, while I was correcting an image...
I'm looking to find the original source of the software to reinstall everything, not forgetting the environment I had created... for 30 years!
