Connecting Philips home cinema

Hello everyone, I would like to have some advice or information from those who know.. because personally, I'm stuck..
I want to know if it is possible to connect a Philips home theater model: MX3800D/22S from around 2004, to my recently purchased Samsung QLED TV model: TQ43Q60CAU.
My TV only has an optical port, HDMI and HDMI ARC ports, a USB port, and an antenna port.
On the back of the home theater, there are plenty of RCA outputs, a SCART port, an optical port, and an S-Video port, but unfortunately no HDMI port. I have tried connecting with an optical cable with no results, and also with a SCART/HDMI box that is supposed to output information from a SCART port to HDMI.
The result was still inconclusive.. even after going into the optical cable settings to switch the sound from the TV, etc..
Let me know if there is a way to connect them or not.. thanks in advance.

Hello,
Your television indeed has an optical digital audio output, but your home theater, on the other hand, does not have an optical digital input but also an output.
The audio inputs of the home theater (TV - Aux) are analog inputs via RCA jacks.
Under these conditions, the solution involves an optical digital audio to RCA analog converter.

However, there will be some things to do in the "Sound" menu of the television to activate the optical output and also to set the digital audio output format.
Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there... -
Good evening, after trying with the recommended conversion box... it doesn't work...
Either I only have crackling sound or nothing at all...
Also, I'm not sure about the proper functioning of my home cinema either...
So, in short... that's too bad, I tried...
And I think I'll have to consider investing in a soundbar or a more modern home cinema... that would be simpler...
Thank you anyway for the tip and have a good evening.
