Samsung TV and Home Cinema connection issue

Hello,

I know there are already a lot of questions on the topic, but I'm losing my mind...
I have a FULL HD LCD TV series 6 LE40A626 SAMSUNG, and I just bought a SAMSUNG digital HOME CINEMA HT-A100, but I can't get the sound from the Home Cinema when I'm watching TV; either I have the sound from the TV speakers, or there's no sound at all. (I do have sound from the Home Cinema for CDs and DVDs), and there is no PERITEL on the Home Cinema.
I assume that with this Home Cinema, the supplied HDMI cable is 1.3.
On the Home Cinema, I have connected the HDMI cable and then 2 RCA audio cables (1 white and 1 red) to the AUX IN 2 port.
The problem lies with the TV since there are 3 HDMI ports:
HDMI IN 2
HDMI IN 1 below
HDMI IN 3 on the side
And there are also 4 audio cable connection options:
DVI IN (HDMI 2) at the back
AUDIO OUT at the back
Another one in a COMPONENT IN block at the back
1 more on the side.
I have tried a lot of possible combinations and I can't get the sound from the TV channels through the Home Cinema.
Do I need to use a SCART connection?? I don't know what to do anymore... if you have a diagram, I would appreciate it.

It's all good, it works...
You're actually missing an audio cable with 2 inputs (red and white) that needs to be purchased separately as it's not included with the home theater.

You'll need to connect the TV to the home theater using this cable by utilizing the AUX 2 inputs.

To get sound on the TV, press AUX several times until AUX2 is activated.

Don't forget to turn on the home theater sound.

If it works, it's also recommended to mute the TV sound to only have the home theater sound. This avoids the echo effect.

Hi tropique 62,  I also bought a Samsung LCD TV as well as the home theater system and I can't get the TV's sound to play through the home theater.  Did you find a solution?  Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem with a SAMSUNG series 6 LCD and the HTX 710 home cinema. I tried with an optical cable but nothing worked. Tomorrow I will try with 2 RCA jacks (right and left) connected to the auxiliary (1 or 2) hoping to get a result. I will keep you updated on the results. Best regards.

Hello everyone!
I connected the home with the red and white cables as recommended by Joule 974, but I can't get any sound!!
Just to let you know, my screen is an LG and the home is a Samsung HT-X715.

Hello,

I have just connected a Samsung Series 4 LCD screen to a HT A 100 home theater via RCA connection + HDMI connection

I selected both in the home menu, and it works for the TV.
However, when playing a DVD, or even just the home theater menu, I have sound but no picture, what should I do?
Is there a modification to make in the TV menu or elsewhere?

Hello,

just to help, I had roughly the same problem as you – no sound with the TV channels. I struggled a lot to find a solution, and the simplest one was to connect the home cinema and the TV or an HD decoder from SFR box, which is my case, with a digital optical cable, and it worked perfectly.

I have a Samsung HT-X620 2.1 home cinema and a Samsung PS42C96HD plasma TV.
So basically, I connected the optical cable to my SFR HD decoder and the HDMI cable from the decoder to my TV.

There you go, it also works very well by connecting the TV directly to the home cinema.

I have the same problem. My Philips flat screen that doesn't have optical fiber because it's 7 years old, and my home system is a Samsung that arrived two days ago.

There's no sound coming from the home system when watching TV. I've tried everything: optical cable connected from my home system to my SFR decoder, HDMI from the decoder to the TV, as well as RCA connections, but nothing!!! Can any of you help me?

I hope I won't have to change my TV.

Hello, I work in home appliances and in certain installations it may happen that the screen is not compatible with the equipment. Try connecting your TV via HDMI (ARC) to the home cinema and linking it optically from the TV to the home.
If that doesn't work, go see the retailer.
