Hello,

For the past two days, a pale gray circle with 9 dots has appeared on my Sony Xperia 10 IV mobile screen.

What is it?

It's impossible to remove.

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

    Hello,

This icon is presumably for the "Side Detection Menu" function. Its purpose is to simplify access to certain apps on your device.

To make it disappear, simply press and hold the icon and drag it to the right edge of the screen.

It is probably a disable-able option in the smartphone settings.

And to learn more about the functions of your device, there's nothing like consulting the manual that I’ve left on the page in question: https://helpguide.sony.net/mobile/xperia-10m4/v1/fr/contents/TP1001100765.html

    Hello,

This could be the icon that gives access to all the apps present on the smartphone.
Currently, this icon is usually disabled and replaced by a vertical swipe gesture on the screen.

Long press on the home screen in an area without icons.

At the bottom of the screen, click on the gear icon for Settings.

In the list, check that this option is disabled:

      Hi,

I don’t have this menu when following your tutorial.

      I have:

      - Show the Google app

      - Notification dots

      - Add app icons to the home screen

      - Allow screen rotation

      - Show the quick search area

      That’s it!

From what I've seen, Sony has completely removed access to apps with an icon. They have only kept the swipe feature. So it's probably not this icon that you're seeing. However, it looks completely similar.

The only thing that is fairly certain is that this icon is not linked to a particular app. It resembles the icons used by Android for app grouping.

Have you tried restarting the smartphone?

    Good evening

    No idea!

If you could send a screenshot...

    Hi,

Well no, because when I take a screenshot, nothing appears!!!

    I'll scan the phone tomorrow.

    To be continued,

    Thanks.
