I have a Sony Blu-ray player with a USB port. WEB-dl downloads are not played back at the sound level for a large screen projection! Is there a player that accepts them?

Hello!

Yes, there are players that can read the WEB-DL format without any issues. For example, VLC Media Player, a free and open-source media player, is capable of playing a wide variety of audio and video formats. It's one of the most versatile and reliable options available. For projections on a large screen, you might need an audio/video receiver (AVR) that supports most audio and video formats.

It is also possible that the problem comes from how the audio was encoded in the WEB-DL file. For instance, if the audio was encoded in a format that is not supported by your Sony Blu-Ray player, you won’t be able to hear the sound. In that case, it would be best to convert the audio file to a format supported by your Blu-Ray player. There are many free software options that can do this.

Finally, make sure your projection and audio system is capable of playing high-definition sound. If it isn't, you may need to consider upgrading your system.
