Question about Sandbox
SolvedRico -
Hello everyone,
I have Windows Home, so I don't have the Windows Sandbox virtualization service built-in. By doing a little manipulation, I was able to install it, however, when I start it, I get an error.
I then checked my virtualization settings (Hyper-V) in the BIOS, and they are indeed enabled, whereas in the performance tab of the task manager I have no indication of this. I therefore conclude that it is disabled and that it probably comes from a Windows service that I previously disabled during the configuration of my Windows. Indeed, some services that generally end with Hyper-V and which are presumably related to virtualization seem to be stopped, including the main virtualization service. However, big problem, I cannot activate them due to a message indicating that "the Hyper-V Remote Desktop virtualization service on Local Computer started then stopped (some services stop automatically if they are not used by other services or programs)" and, worse, with one of the services my PC crashes and reboots if I activate it.
Could someone tell me where this is coming from?

Hello,
I’m not familiar with your tinkering and its scope.
The hypervision services have no reason not to work; at worst, they are set to manual by default and not to stop, so they will start on demand. We can always set them to automatic in services.msc.
If we are using the Windows hypervisor and not a third-party virtualization software, we need to enable the platform in Control Panel-Programs-Turn Windows features on or off.
I finally opted for Sandboxie.
In fact, virtualization is indeed enabled via the BIOS (and, contrary to what I mentioned earlier, it is correctly indicated as "enabled" in the performance tab); however, I do not have Windows Sandbox or the Hyper-V option since I'm on a Home version of Windows. Therefore, the issues related to the services probably stem from this problem. Anyway, I'm giving up.
