PDF file that won't open with Photoshop

Hello,

Some files that I was working on with Photoshop and saving as PDF will no longer open.

A message appears saying "Cannot open file.pdf because the document is incompatible with this version of Photoshop."

Do you have a solution to recover these files?

    Hello,

    Use a free app to read the PDF. You have this one... https://www.adobe.com/fr/acrobat/pdf-reader.html.

      Thank you! But actually I can see the image as a PDF, but I no longer have access to the editing functions of Photoshop...

        If at the time of saving as a PDF you forgot to check "keep editing functions," it’s a bit normal that you no longer have access to them...

        No, the box is checked! And I can't even open it as an image in Ps, but I can see it in the PDF reader...

        Try creating a PDF of version 1.6 (Acrobat 7)...

    Weird because a Photoshop file saved in PDF format should reopen in "the same" Photoshop...
    I assume you kept the editing functions when saving.

    To recover it... open your file in Acrobat "Pro" and in the tools select "Edit Object/Modify Content".. right-click on the image and "Edit Image".

    Hello, thank you for your response. For me, the goal is to be able to reopen the image with Photoshop, in order to have access to the layers among other things... I don't know why it does this to me from time to time, it makes me lose quite a bit of work...
