[Photoshop] PNG file that won't open

Solved

Hello (:

Yesterday afternoon I started a header in Photoshop CS5, I saved it in PNG format and today I can't open it, a window pops up saying "Cannot perform this operation because the file format module cannot interpret the file."

I spent all afternoon on this header and I just needed to add the typography, and I would really like to recover it :$
So if someone knows how to do it, it would be really kind of them to help me :)

EDIT: Here's a screenshot of the window that opens:

I JUST FOUND THE SOLUTION! Open your file in Paint and save it in another format. After that, Photoshop can open it, I just tried it with JPEG :)

Your solution is cheap fix!!! The problem comes from the file extension and not the file itself.
For a file to corrupt itself, a simple mistake must have been made during saving. If you save "as," select an image type but your file extension does not match (be careful when filling in the fields), it saves with 2 simultaneous extensions, one of which is hidden...

The "real" solution? Go into your OS and set parameters for always displaying extensions. You will see that the so-called corrupted files are 9 times out of 10 files with a double extension.

Manually delete the second extension from the file title (the one that the program does not understand), Photoshop will open it without any problem, whether it's pirated or not.
