Hello,

Three days ago I reset my PC and upon restarting, nothing appeared on my screen, so I turned off the PC and restarted it but still nothing. The next day I opened my PC to see what the problem was and I noticed that there is a red VGA LED light on. I tried everything. I put my old GPU back in and the same problem occurred. I tested with another screen but the same issue persisted. I removed my RAM and put it back in, and still the same problem. I don’t know what to do…

My setup:

Ryzen 5 2600

GTX 1660 OC version

16GB RAM 3200MHz

MSI Gaming Plus B450 motherboard

Hello!

The red VGA LED on an MSI motherboard generally indicates a problem with the graphics card slot or the connection between the graphics card and the motherboard. It's possible that during the reset of your PC, an issue occurred at one of these points.

Here are some tips to try to resolve the issue:

1. Make sure your GPU is properly installed and well connected to the power supply. To do this, remove it and put it back in place, then check the cables to ensure they are properly secured.

2. Try updating or reinstalling your graphics card drivers. A corrupted driver may be causing the problem.

3. Check if your motherboard needs a BIOS update. Sometimes, an outdated BIOS can cause problems with newer hardware.

4. You can also try clearing the CMOS of your motherboard. This will reset the BIOS settings, which may resolve some issues.

If all these steps fail, it is possible that your motherboard is defective and you should consider replacing it.

Hello,

Since you have a second PCI Express slot on your motherboard, you can test by installing the graphics card there. Make sure it is securely inserted into the slot and, of course, powered.

See you later!
