Issue with tvapi service has stopped working

Hello,

I recently have a problem with my Continental Edison CELED50S419B20 Smart TV.

When I try to connect it to the Internet, an error message keeps appearing and causes my TV to restart in a loop. The message is as follows -> "tvapi-service has stopped working."

The problem occurs as soon as I connect to the Internet (via Wi-Fi or cable).

I bought this TV in 2019 and I haven't had any issues until now.

I've tried resetting it (I didn't have much saved on it) but the problem persists. I've read many solutions on this forum but nothing works. I do not wish to connect it via tethering with my phone, but rather with my box (it’s a Freebox Pop). I looked into the storage permissions but I couldn't find the tvapi in question (it's untraceable) and I can't update my TV.

On the Continental Edison website, I have no information on this issue, nor in the user manual (for example, how to update my TV).

Could you please suggest some solutions for me (other than those mentioned above)?

Hello Mimir, I don't know if it's too late, but better late than never. Just unplug it for 10 minutes and let it rest. The constant standby mode can cause a system malfunction.

Good evening, tonight, when I turned on my Continental Edison Smart TV, I received the same error message.

I did what you advised the person who posted the message, and it worked well for me. I turned the TV back on and the error message disappeared.
