Hello,

HP color laser NFP 178nw

"Scan unit open or exit jam"

It's just for my personal needs.

It was working very well, I turned it off and then, some time later, turned it back on and since then I've had this message.

I have no paper stuck.

I unplugged it, changed outlets, emptied the dust ink collector, wiped the toners.

Can you help me?

So you need to look for anything that resembles: "Scanner Open" and also "paper jam", that’s what’s being detected and blocking your printer...

So, even if it doesn't seem true to you, you need to search for anything that looks like it could cause it... Use good lighting to check the corners and also a mirror...

-- A previous incident may have blocked or twisted a part, which keeps the detector activated at all times..

Activate your observation in stealth mode..!!
