Issue with Samsung ML2165 laser printer

Hello everyone,

I just bought a Samsung ML-2165 laser printer.
It has a WiFi function.
I have properly installed the drivers, powered it up...
But after configuring the printer on the network via my computer, I still can't print anything via WiFi.

I then tried connecting my printer via USB to my computer, but it still refuses to work.

An error message appears: "the port is not connected", and the assistant informs me that either the USB is not properly connected (I have checked) or the printer is not powered on (which is also false).

Moreover, the printer seems to be rebooting every minute or so... it makes a heating noise and the lights flash on and off...

Do you have any solutions? I urgently need this printer and I am feeling a bit lost!

Thank you in advance!

Sincerely

Thank you for your response!

But the problem apparently lies with Windows itself, there are conflicts between the printing software and Windows.
The customer service of the large retailer where I purchased my printer tested the product successfully; it has no defects.
I actually gave up on the wifi function; USB works for me.

The technicians recommended that I restore my computer to factory settings... done, too bad my next investment was supposed to be an external hard drive, too late!

The printer worked for an internet print, an image print, but the attempt to print a Word document (the most important) was a failure.

Error message: "the port is not connected"; the printer connects and disconnects on its own every 20 seconds...

A somewhat late response but one that will help others. After printing for a while, our printer broke down. At first, we thought it was because we had just done an Apple update. So my daughter tried every possible fix, and in desperation, she grabbed another USB cable, and there, oh miracle, everything has been working well since! The cable provided by Samsung was simply faulty! Since I've seen on forums that many people seem to have issues with this little printer, which is very fast and quiet, I think there may be a batch that inherited these bad cables. I bought mine in May 2012.

Hello
You can also connect your printer with an RJ45 cable
connected to your router.
Best regards
