Indesign Help: mirror effect

Hello,

I need your help to perform a manipulation in InDesign.

I need to create an A5 poster divided in two. The left side should be identical to the right side.

Is there a solution to create just one side (the right side, for example) and have it automatically duplicate on the left?

I hope I’ve been clear in my explanation ????

Hello Lolo,

Yes, it's doable.
You first need to perfectly align the left half.

If your document is 148mm wide, your left part must end exactly at 74mm (half of the page)
Then you perform the following manipulations:

- you select the entire left part
- you group it with right click > Join
- you hold down the Alt key while clicking the Mirror button (which is located at the top, below the rotation button)
- the left part will be duplicated in the other direction
- you then align this right part with the right side
(you can use guides or the x value in the Properties panel for assistance).
Your workspace needs to be set to "Classic Essentials" to access this mirror option at the top.
Here is a screenshot; I have highlighted in red the location of the Mirror button.
