Hello,

I have a 4K 144Hz LG UltraGear monitor and I bought an LG GP9 speaker and an Xbox Series X console connected to my monitor. I’d like to have the sound on my speaker when I’m playing on the console, but when I connect everything I don’t get any sound on the speaker and I’m connected via USB because the console has no optical port. Have I wired it wrongly or is my speaker not being recognized between my console and my monitor?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,

You have, I suppose, connected the Xbox to the screen with an HDMI cable, but I don’t understand the USB connection

What exact model is this LG monitor

The screen, if I’m not mistaken, has a headset output; have you tried connecting the headset output to your speaker.

Similarly, there is a 3.5 jack port on the controllers have you tried?

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
    Especially when it’s not there...

My monitor is a LG UltraGear 32GR93UB 4K 144Hz, then the LG GP9 soundbar, and yes I have one jack socket below the screen, but on the soundbar side I have two outputs: one headset jack and one AUX/line-out jack, plus a small USB and a big USB. Do I need one cable with two jack plugs?

I thought, wrongly, that the speaker had a 3.5 mm jack input but it’s an output...

So the only inputs are either USB-C or Optical or Bluetooth.

Normally you can connect a headset to one of the Xbox-series X USB-A ports, so also a speaker (via a USB-A to USB-C cable).

      See advice from https://www.coolblue.be/fr/conseils/comment-configurer-votre-casque-sur-les-series-x-et-s-de-la-xbox.html

Another possibility is to use the monitor or controller headset outputs with a USB C/jack 3.5 cable

Before buying it would be useful to know if the monitor’s headset output works.
