Good evening,

I am using Windows 10, and for some time now the game Words With Friends has displayed the following:

"Micheline has updated the game. You will receive updates regarding Words With Friends in this discussion thread. Disable"

Thank you for helping me find a solution to stop seeing these notifications in the Words With Friends game.

    Hello,

    Does anyone have another solution? What causes me to have these ads in the game? Is it due to a Windows update????

    Hello,

    Thank you for your response, unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem. When I disable it, I don't receive any alerts regarding messages on Messenger or if someone has played Words With Friends. And the activate/deactivate message is still there.

      Well, isn’t that the goal you’re looking for? To no longer have notifications about the games?

        Well, as you say Radinoz. If I click on disconnected, I no longer receive notifications from my contacts when they play. Every time I have to check in the game itself if someone has played.

        What I want is for these messages to disappear as mentioned in my first message.

        Messages are notifications...

        Either you want to be notified of the game's progress... and therefore there will be notifications/messages.

        Or you don't want to receive notifications/messages... and consequently you won't be notified of your friends' progress either.

        There are no other options.

        Thank you for the response. These notifications have only been appearing for a little while. I don't know if it's an update or some quirks of the Words Between Friends site. Hoping to one day get back to the game like before. Have a good day.

    I have exactly the same problem with this game and many others regarding these updates. "Alain updated the game. You receive updates about Words With Friends in this thread. Disable."
    I even receive messages saying that "so-and-so" has started a game with me, and when I log into the game, "so-and-so" hasn't started a game.
    As for "Quiz Planet," it’s just nonstop problems. You send emails to the game developer (Lotum) who always replies. Unfortunately, their responses are always the same: they regret it but have no solution.
