Hello,

The indicator light on my TV amplifier is off while it is powered on. Is this normal? I can no longer receive TNT. Perhaps my amplifier is defective. Thank you for your response. Best regards and all my wishes to the community.

    Hello,

What do you mean by "my TV amplifier"???? (An antenna amplifier?)

Please provide us with the references (brand and model) of this device.

    Best wishes for 2024.

    Hello everyone,

"I can't receive TNT anymore": it has nothing to do with the amplifier (although we don't know what you mean by "amplifier") as baladur13 told you!

    Waiting for more info.....

    Best regards!

It is indeed an antenna amplifier.

If the power outlet to which this amplifier is connected is operational (check with a lamp), it is quite abnormal for the light to be off.

There could be a short circuit.

Unplug the power supply, then disconnect the antenna cables one by one. After unplugging one antenna cable, reconnect the power outlet to see if the fault has disappeared. Then repeat for the next cable.

If the fault disappears, it indicates that there is a problem with the antenna cable that has just been unplugged. Check on the outlet side that the shield is not touching the core of the cable.

If the cable causing the problem is the one connected to the antenna and there are no issues with the outlet on the amplifier, then you will need to examine the connection on the antenna side.

I plugged the amplifier into another operational outlet in the house, without connecting it to the antenna. The light remains off. I think the amplifier is broken. It has been installed for 6/7 years. Thank you for your responses.

Without any antenna cable plugged in, there is no light, so yes, there is a problem.

6/7 years is not very long, my amplifier has been working for over 20 years.

      Normally you have this setup:

The issue is still possible on the amplifier part 7328 which is certainly installed on the antenna mast.
