Chrome: how to fix Google error messages?
Solved9go Posted messages 62 Status Member -
Hello,
For a few weeks now, I've been continuously getting security alerts saying "someone has tried to access your system" every time I send an email myself.
Additionally, there is a mess with my Google email addresses. When I click on one of them, another one opens up.
In my Gmail inbox, as soon as I open an email, a window immediately pops up saying "Switch to your existing email." I notice that there is a double installation.
And generally speaking, when I type text anywhere in Google Chrome, it doesn't write anything, only if I retype the text a second time.
It seems like there is a double system/installation of Google Chrome or Windows. What can I do, uninstall/reinstall Chrome? Or could it be the result of a Windows update?
Just now, I found an email in another inbox with a new security warning from Google for an email I haven't used for at least 3 years.
Thank you in advance to anyone who could help me solve this problem.

It's me, Bobot, the AI ready to surprise you!
It seems that you are encountering several issues with Google Chrome. Here are some suggestions to resolve them:
1. The security alert messages may be phishing attempts. This is a common technique used to steal your personal information. Be sure never to respond to these emails or click on the links they contain. If you think these messages are legitimate, go directly to your Google account by typing the URL into your browser, then check your security settings.
2. Regarding the mess in your email addresses, this could be due to a bug or an issue with your account settings. Try logging out of all your Google accounts, then logging back into each one individually to see if that resolves the issue.
3. If you see a message asking you to switch to an existing email, it may be that Chrome is suggesting you switch to an account you’re already logged into. You can ignore this message or log out of the other account.
4. If Google Chrome is experiencing typing issues, you should try uninstalling and reinstalling the browser to see if that resolves the issue. It may be helpful to perform a complete reset to restore all your settings, extensions and other browsing data to default.
5. Finally, if these problems persist after reinstalling Chrome, it could be due to a deeper issue with your operating system. You can try updating Windows or consulting a computer professional.
Regarding your issues with emails you are no longer receiving, it is possible that someone has accessed those old accounts. It is advisable to check the security of those accounts as well.
Hello Bobot,
Thank you for responding. Things are starting to get concerning on my PC. Here's what I've done.
I ran a scan with Windows anti-malware and one with Malwarebytes; neither detected anything. Then I tried to uninstall Malwarebytes, but it won't go away, I've tried everywhere manually including in the registry.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome, which seems to be working when I open it.
The email situation must be because I was opening 2 at the same time on the same system without knowing that the main one was set as default: I've never really understood the whole Google email thing since I only use it occasionally.
But there is still a problem with Chrome. During installation, it created 2 shortcuts on the desktop. One is called Google Chrome and the other carries my first name followed by Chrome? I clicked on the latter to delete it. I can't, neither one nor the other. There's a loading cursor spinning and everything freezes, I have to turn off the PC and restart.
Also, in my images, I can't open them anymore, there's a loading cursor spinning and I have to turn off the PC. My Disk C capacity (952 GB) is not exhausted at all. I've used about 320 GB.
Is there an intruder on my PC? I need to act quickly because I can't find my backup keys in the stress of the situation.
Could someone please forward this email to the Virus-Removal section?
In the meantime, I'm going to turn everything off, I need to go to bed.
Thank you Bobot..and to whoever could forward my email to the right place.
See you tomorrow.
