Vérification de la présence médiatique… média présent

Hello,

I am asking for your help because since yesterday I have a problem with my computer. Not being the most skilled and having gone through all the available topics on this issue, I still haven't found my solution and I could eventually use a hand..

Following some slowdowns on Google Chrome, I decided to restart my computer.. and suddenly I get the famous black screen with the message Checking media presence… media present, then the BIOS opens:

I’ve done almost all the basic manipulations: that is, check my boot priority, that’s fine, check if my hard drives are detected, that’s fine too, check the power connections, that’s ok as well, and restore the BIOS, still not good..

Nothing abnormal apparently..

  • The problem is that when I am in UEFI in my boot options if I’m not mistaken it does not detect my hard drive with the OS (see photo)

Yet, as I repeat, my hard drives are well detected by the BIOS (so I conclude that they are not dead and even I don’t think both have burned out at the same time although my OS is only on the SSD)

To finish, I even tried to boot with a USB key with the Windows ISO file, placing it obviously as the first boot priority, but it still doesn’t work; the BIOS opens directly at startup..

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello,

In my opinion, your hard drive is: Disabled which means it is turned off.

(It seems that the drive is not following what you are imposing on it for the work request).

You need to set it to: Enabled in the BIOS, then press F10 to save and restart and see what happens next.

Hello.

In my opinion, your hard drive is: Disabled means off.

No, the term "disabled" applies to the "hotplug" option. It has nothing to do with the problem.

You need to be 100% sure that the boot procedure from the USB drive is not working. Did you follow the creation tutorials (either with MediaCreationTool or Rufus)?

Because if this procedure doesn’t work with a properly created USB drive, it points to an issue with your motherboard.

Do you have the ability to test your two drives on a functional PC, the only way to confirm that they are not the cause?
