Office 2003 : "Save As" not responding

Hello,
I bought a new PC and installed Office 2003 from a USB drive.
Since then, whether in Word or Excel, when I try to save a file via "save as", a message "save as" is not responding!
It is therefore impossible for me to save my files!
Can you help me resolve this issue?
Thank you very much

Hello,
2007 continues to work on Windows 10/11, 2003 is less certain or may have more or less random bugs.
Aside from this aspect, a valid license is required and it needs to be activated; it is also not guaranteed that the dedicated Microsoft servers still function. -
Thank you for your feedback.
I understand what you are saying, but I forgot to mention that I had installed Office 2003 once before and everything was working.
I had to reset the PC due to a mistake, and since then, Office 2003 does not respond when it comes to saving files.
So it worked! I do not understand why it is not working anymore!
Thank you very much.

If Windows has been reinstalled over itself or reinstalled without data loss, there may still be Office files on the disk even after uninstallation via the Control Panel.
I don't know if Offscrub does a complete cleanup for 2003 before reinstalling it; otherwise, you'll have to do it manually by searching for remnants on the disk.

If there has been a factory restore or formatting, there is nothing left on the disk: what is random is then, by definition, unpredictable.

I performed this operation but nothing works; still impossible to save as!
I don't know what to do.

Hello,
I don't have a specific answer to this problem.
- You need to install the MS versions in order: if a newer version is installed, 2003 won't install or will install incorrectly; be careful with pre-installed versions like the free 30-day 365.
- You might try restarting the installation; if I remember correctly, there should be an option for a repair or something similar at one of the steps.

- Good luck.
