HP PC time setting issue

Hello,

I bought my PC less than a month ago and the time is never set correctly. I enabled "set time automatically", and when I synced it, it displayed the correct time (at that moment). But when I turn off the PC, the next day the displayed time is the time at which I shut down the PC. Then, even as I continue to use the PC, the displayed time is not correct.

So I sincerely hope that someone can figure out where the problem is and help me solve it.

Thank you

    Hello

I synchronized it and it shows the correct time

So the internet synchronization works. (Sometimes it takes less than 5 minutes of difference for the automatic synchronization to happen by itself afterwards).

When I turn off the PC, the next day the displayed time is the time I turned off the PC

    Oh? Well, that's not normal.

Normally, the "BIOS battery", often a round CR 2032 battery on the motherboard in a desktop PC, preserves the time.

It's surprising in a new PC, the battery lasts between 2 and 5 years depending on the PCs!

Even as I use the PC, the displayed time is not correct.

Difficult to interpret, the time zone setting in the "language and regional information" settings should avoid this kind of surprises.

If replacing the BIOS battery and adjusting those regional settings isn't enough in a new PC, there's no choice but to contact the seller's customer service or the manufacturer, since it's guaranteed, it's urgent to contact them first.

"Set the time automatically", I still have a small doubt: what if I haven't fully understood it, as often happens with manuals?

Because until now I haven't seen this anomaly (nor have I had a defective PC regarding the time saving except for the battery - except for one online that caused a short circuit on the motherboard with a screwdriver, while the PC was on).

We can wait for other opinions, I lack the HP practice for the consequences of certain settings.
