How is the score calculated on Snapchat?
theo.ngr17 -
Hello,
My friend tells me he only talks to me on Snapchat. When we send each other snaps, I see my own score increase by one point with each snap. But his doesn't change right away and sometimes at the end of the day or the next day, it jumps up by 30 all at once! But that doesn't correspond to the number of snaps exchanged, and there are times when his score increases on days we don't talk... Any explanation? Aside from the fact that he's probably talking to other people, I can't see...

Hi
Already noticed, some "operations" seem to advance the score, but not everyone does the same thing at the same time, and the updates are not regular either for more obscure reasons, less related to account activity, we don't really know.
The updates to your score don't seem to happen at the same time as those of other devices either.
In any case, it's not reliable for guessing what someone is doing, that's for sure. Two people talking at the same table in a café have different scores on their two phones, and the result is even different if the people change cafés.
Another more surprising thing about phones, the GPS is more reliable and accurate than the car speedometer in the countryside, but much less so in the city. However, for speeding tickets, it's always better to look at the car's speedometer if you don't want to get caught, anywhere. They've proven that and explained it technically.
And car speedometers and radars are certified and guaranteed to be accurate; they compare with a GPS that locates you within 10 cm.
