Hello, my CPU LED is on in white and I thought that the processor was damaged, but it's perfectly fine and all the fans are running smoothly. When I press the button to turn off my PC, it shuts down, but when I install my processor, I can’t turn off the PC except at the power supply, and of course, I have no image on the screen.

I have an MSI B550 Gaming Plus and an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X. Please, it's urgent, thank you.

    Hello,

    If you have this LED, it means there is a problem... check the manual.

    It indicates that the CPU is not detected or that its initialization has failed.

    This is a generic indicator; it could also be a voltage or ground defect, or a temperature issue... or other components not properly matched with the CPU..??

    Is this a setup you did yourself..?? not long ago..?? Has it ever worked without this defect..? how long..?

    Given the power supply tripping, there must be a voltage defect or a ground leak..? or is your power supply not powerful enough..??

    Yes, I assembled it myself and the main issue is the screen even though at the first startup with the processor I could turn off the PC normally, but after removing and reinserting it multiple times, it no longer works. However, that's not the most important thing; it's more about the screen that concerns me since I'm not receiving any image, and even at the first use, that's why I removed the processor so many times.

    Why are you removing the processor..? If you keep doing that, the thermal paste becomes faulty... you remove a bit every time... and it's no longer even...

    -- If the screen is your problem, you can try with another screen; your TV for example.

    Or try this screen on another PC..?

    Here is a guide for minimum PC startup, before going further.

    +++ Minimum PC Startup +++

    The motherboard is equipped with a BIOS... you received a manual with the motherboard... It explains how to access the BIOS (Generally, it's the Delete key immediately upon powering on and before the end of the logo) you have to be quick...

    For now, I'm not talking about Windows... the goal is to get the PC running, not Windows, that will be later.

    So if accessing the BIOS brings nothing, you need to disconnect everything from your setup... leaving only the motherboard (with its processor and one RAM stick) connected to its power supply and the case's power button... And the wired keyboard, that's it...
    No graphics card, no hard drive or SSD, no CD/DVD drive, no screen.
    Turn on the PC while carefully watching the keyboard lights... They should briefly light up, maybe even all three then one... and then you play with the Num Lock and/or Caps Lock key... the lights should change state with each press of the key...

    If that's not the case, you need to disassemble everything and go step by step, ensuring the correct connection of each component... be careful with the fans... the 4 or 8 pins connector above the CPU power...
