SMTP sending from Canon MB2750 impossible: Connection failed

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a Canon Maxify MB2750 printer for my company since I already own one personally and it works very well. However, I am having trouble configuring the email scan sending from the printer.

At home, there’s no problem; I use the SMTP servers from my email provider hosted by o2switch with a professional domain name, and everything works fine. Now, I’m trying to set up the same configuration on the printer in my office, and the issue arises: error message regardless of the settings (SSL, non-SSL, SMTP, with or without POP3...) it does not work. It shows the message "Failed to connect to the server," even though it's the same email account that works perfectly on my personal printer.

Could there be a blockage on the network where my printer is located? I have an Orange internet box. I also contacted o2switch to make sure that it wasn’t an issue on their end, and after checking, there were no problems on their side...

I’m a bit stuck because at the moment I can’t perform any scanning at my office via email sending...

If you have any ideas or solutions to suggest, I’m open to them. I might be considering a blockage via my box?

Thank you for your help

    Hello,

Yes, many ISPs block SMTP that is not directed to their servers, especially on port 25,

It's better to use submission (port 587)

And there you go, here we are ....

But it's such a pain with line spacing !!

      Hello,

I’m okay with it, but I already had the experience that I renewed last month while traveling from a Livebox.

No way to send an outgoing email regardless of the SFR or Orange SMTP and the port from an SFR email address, I suppose that the email domain is censored if it’s not orange.

It can also be the case that some people don't want to deal with spam and block everything, but emails don't only come from within.

Specific addresses may be blocked, not the whole domain.
