Hello,
For the past day or two, there has been a tab at the top of Google Chrome called "All bookmarks." Is it possible to remove it?

Thank you for your help.

Hello,
Power Bookmarks:
This is the ''All bookmarks'' folder located to the right of the toolbar.
It sometimes appears after a Google Chrome update.
Delete the ''All bookmarks'' folder
Open Google Chrome.
Clear everything in the URL bar (or open a new tab by clicking on the + sign)
Copy and paste:
chrome://flags/
Press the ''Enter'' key on the keyboard
Or right-click on chrome://flags/ and select paste and go to chrome://flags/
In the '' Search flags '' box, copy and paste:
#power-bookmarks-side-panelTo the right of the '' Power bookmarks side panel'', expand the dropdown (little V upside down)
If Enabled or Default is selected, click on the line → Disabled
Finally, click at the bottom right of the page on → Relaunch (Restart).

Hello Chris,
Far from thinking that it would impact so many stakeholders in the same day.
Indeed, the solution may be out there on the Internet, but even when typing keywords like you did, I couldn't find it, though I had it somewhere in my toolkit.
Well, this post from Liliane + the Tip/Solution sheet should help find it more quickly now.
Best wishes.

Hello,
As usual and unfortunately (they aren't any smarter than us, just more numerous), it's easy to find with an English search like delete (or remove) "all bookmarks" folder, for example here:
https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/233204416?msgid=234635821&sjid=502731132933753708-EUhttps://www.elevenforum.com/t/all-bookmarks-folder-on-bookmark-bar-chrome.18079/

Hello,
The general idea of the site is to provide assistance in the usual language here... In short, neither the users of CCM nor the contributors are "invited" to systematically conduct "exotic" searches :-)
That said, if necessary, it is indeed not forbidden to broaden one's search areas, but one must then propose a translation...

Hello,
The manipulation doesn't work for me: when I enter "#power-bookmarks-side-panel" I don't have a "Power bookmarks side panel" entry to enable or disable, just "No matching experiments"
How is that possible? Thank you -
Hello,
Thank you very much, pistouri.

I tested the procedure with Chrome Refresh 2023.
This will be a new feature of Google Chrome coming soon.
To read or apply (Export/Backup your favorites beforehand).
→ Chrome Refresh 2023 is the new design of Chrome

If you wish, we could modify the title of your question (I had changed it in a hurry).
Example of a title:
Intrusion folder ''all favorites'' Google Chrome Or Remove the folder ''all favorites'' Google ChromeIf you have another idea or another participant from the forum, we can leave it as is. (Title as short as possible, cause, limited characters).
A Tips/Solutions sheet will be edited (by me later) to find it on Google and in CCM.
See you!

Thank you for these explanations.
Intrusion folder ''all bookmarks'' Google ChromeI find this formula very good.
See you soon, maybe.
Thank you for your feedback.
With your permission, I would like to retrieve the photo for visibility compared to mine. (Or I could zoom in, but it looks ugly for the rendering).
In order to edit it in Tips/Solutions to come.
Intrusion folder ''all bookmarks'' Google ChromeWill probably be the final title.
With a T capitalized for the word Those.
See you later
I am grateful to you.
Once the sheet is edited, I will post it here again.
I started working on your photo.
Removal of unnecessary text and the visible cursor.
The rest later.
Hello,
The Tips/Solutions sheet A folder <
> is embedded in Chrome is not yet on Google or will never be due to the title where I lacked imagination (I just changed the title, to be continued...).The one from the contributor Lilianne is well on Google, and that's great.

No disappointment though, but I would like to bring up one last point about the folder <
>.
As can be seen, it's because of the latest update of Chrome.
I invite all of you to read and discover the section ==►What's new
To be opened only with the Google Chrome browser.
Otherwise, you will get an error message:

An overview of favorites in Google Chrome:

The second and final point to clarify is that the folder <
> will change places and thus the favorites will always be accessible. It's the sidebar:

Currently (Chrome 117) it is not available in the customization and control (these are the 3 little dots located at the top right).

But this will be available in a future version of Chrome (expected before the end of the year).
==► Chrome Refresh 2023 is the new design of Chrome
Here is an overview of the side panel:
The line → Show the favorites bar

Once the line, Show the favorites bar, it will no longer be called ''All favorites'' but will be called ''Favorites''
This to respond to Pierre (message 18):

I edited the document while the train was in motion.
==► A folder <<All bookmarks>> is embedded in Google
Maybe the title should be modified again according to my imagination.
I'm not too thrilled about this title (not at all), it will stay like this for now.
And given the character limit for the title, we need to find the right title.
Thanks again to Liliane for the photo capture.
Have a nice end of the day everyone.

Here's what it is:
#power-bookmarks-side-panelTo the right of the line '' Power bookmarks side panel' click on the dropdown arrow (small V upside down)
If Enabled or Default is selected, click on the line → Disabled
Finally, click at the bottom right of the page on → Relaunch (Restart).
This is what I don't have, the dropdown and the rest.
Good evening,
I'm going to play the troublemaker a bit. I'm not sure it's a good idea to get rid of the new tab All Bookmarks.
I feel like Chrome is trying to simplify bookmark management.
Before, when you clicked on the star at the end of the address bar, it was the Bookmarks Bar that was suggested as a priority. Now it's All Bookmarks.

I thought Chrome would combine "Other Bookmarks" and those from the Bookmarks Bar into "All Bookmarks".
In fact, they've only done half the job since when you go to the bookmarks manager, you find the old folders:

I think that eventually there will be just one folder for bookmarks, which would be simpler.
In the meantime, we can say that the job has been done halfway and I understand that All Bookmarks appears as an oddity.
I believe that if we delete the All Bookmarks tab, we don't delete the content of Other Bookmarks.
In conclusion, I think the best thing would be to:
- keep this new tab,
- clean up your bookmarks and combine them all into the same folder still called Other Bookmarks in the Bookmarks Manager. They will appear in the "All Bookmarks" tab.
What one conceives well is clearly stated,
And the words to express it come easily.
