Hello,

I have been using Facebook's MarketPlace to sell items for a few years now, and for the first time yesterday I received this message: "You have reached your monthly ad limit, please return on the first day of next month or after to create new listings" even though I created more in July without any issues. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thank you.

Anne

Hello!

I just received the same message even though I publish a lot every month. This month I'm at 20 listings. I'm moving abroad in a few months and I need to empty my house, I'm really stuck :( If anyone has a solution, I would also appreciate it! Thank you!

Sandrine

Hello,

Knowing whether someone else has encountered the same problem won't change the fact that you have exceeded the limit of possible ads over 30 days, and in your case, it's Facebook that blocks and limits your number of ads on their servers on your account. Therefore, logically, only Facebook is able to lift this restriction.

Who better than Renault to service your Renault.
Uh! Chuck Norris...

There is nothing aggressive; I just explained to you that this restriction on your account was put in place by the Facebook officials and that only they are able to cancel it at their discretion.

And seeking the opinion of others will not resolve or cancel this restriction put in place by Facebook.

Knowing whether someone has encountered the same problem will not change the fact that you have exceeded the limit of possible ads in 30 days.

Logically, if you cannot find the exit in a maze and you ask someone else who is in the same situation as you, "Where is the exit?" this will not provide you with the solution.

Hello,

By the way, does politeness mean anything to you?

I'm going to ask you the same question as well, but aside from criticizing what others do without even being capable of saying hello, what solution do you propose?

Yes, me too. But I only put in 18 and I'm told the limit has been reached.

I have the same problem, I hadn't posted anything on my marketplace for a very long time, I posted 19 items yesterday and got an error on the 20th, no way to continue. This morning I tried again and got the message that I reached my limit and need to wait until next month... yet I still have quite a few items to sell.

So marketplace is no longer useful, 19 listings goes very quickly.

Have a nice day

Hello,

I just had the same problem and yet, during other months, I put a lot of items for sale. This month, I must be at 20 items listed for sale.

Does anyone have an explanation?

Thank you

Hello,

It is possible that this is an error on Facebook's servers, since several of you are encountering this issue.

Hello, it's strange that I can't find ANY information about this limit on Google or Twitter... I also have 2 FB accounts and both accounts are limited to 5 car ads and 20 in total...
Here is the message that appears if you try to post a sixth ad..

"You have reached your monthly limit of 5 car ads

We now have a monthly ad limit. You can create new ads on the first of the month or afterward. Learn more"

When I paste this message or the first sentence into Google, I only get 2 responses... An article on "le moniteur" in Belgium and this forum on how it works..

AND that's IT;;; INCREDIBLE;;;

Hello,

it's strange that I can't find ANY information about this limit on Google

Yet in less than a minute, with my search engine…

<<The number of new Facebook Marketplace listings you can create per calendar month is now limited. Once you reach one of the following limits, you can’t create any more listings for the rest of the month:

  • 5 listings in Vehicles
  • 5 listings in Automotive Parts and Accessories
  • 5 listings in Houses for Sale or Rent
  • 20 listings in total>>
Listing limits on Facebook Marketplace The number of new Facebook Marketplace listings you can create per calendar month is now limited. Once you reach one of the following limits, you can’t create any more listings for the rest of the month: 5 listings in Vehicles 5 listings in Automotive Parts and Accessories 5 listings in Houses for Sale or Rent 20 listings in total Note: Listing limits reset on the first day of each month. Your listings will remain active after the limit resets and will not count towards the limit for the new month. Each listing created counts towards the limit, even if it is later deleted.

They want to start charging for ads; today it's 20, tomorrow 15, then 10, then 5 at the very beginning it was free for teachers to get known, then paid, but free for individuals, on Le Bon Coin and Vinted they force you to reach for your wallet so they can profit from it, but don't worry they will all get along!!! For most people, it's to make a little bit of money, but the cash is soon going to be finished ☹️???????????? I find it disgusting..... to charge for sales of €2, €3, €4, €5 ?????????

I'm new to the marketplace. I fill everything out to post listings and when I click on next, nothing happens. "Next" is not highlighted. I can still find the photos of my listings but they are not published. I cancel them all to start over and then, there it is! The message "you have reached your monthly listing limit" when I don't have any more listings! What's the problem?

Hello

Meta, and it's not the only one, is questioning everything and changing the rules on its own turf, it's true that there's nothing we can do about it.

Just look at the news at the fines they're all paying, so a new trend is to prevent people from communicating too much with others or you'll get blocked, unless you pay more, but we shouldn't be given that reputation. Am I right?

To put it briefly, it's a bit too reductive as a description, that's true.

Diversify, use several selling sites if it's urgent.

Hello!

What's strange is that this information about the limit is nowhere to be found...

Do you have any other selling sites to recommend? I'm already posting on 2eme main and Vinted but Marketplace is still working really well...

Hello, for eBay I found: If you have reached the monthly limit for a certain category, you must not list items in another category that is not suitable, as this violates our guidelines on manipulating search results and navigation. For Google I found: To better understand the cause of this limitation, please refer to our guide on ad serving limits. For Facebook, there are indeed advertising billing: You have reached your payment limit. A payment limit is an amount that you can spend on ads before we bill you. Each time your advertising costs reach the amount of your payment limit, we charge that amount. But I haven't found any "clear" new limitations for now: https://fr-fr.facebook.com/help/2193854224216494

Hello, I have the same problem. I asked Facebook two days ago, but no response. Maybe other people should ask them the same question: New? How many ads per month? Or bug?

Hello, I also sent a message and I haven't received a reply. I publish around 50 ads a month and I've never had this problem.

Hello, have you received any feedback? Because I'm experiencing the same issue since this morning. Thank you, have a nice day.

Hello, no response. I wonder if Facebook reads users' comments and questions because several months ago I asked a question about another issue and I never got a reply.

Hello

I had exactly the same problem today.

Like you, I regularly sell on the marketplace and I used to post a hundred ads without any issues. But this August, something must have changed, a new Facebook update or I don't know what... because after only 20 ads, I received this message ????

It’s very annoying because 20 ads is nothing.

So I think the limit is 20, even if it’s not explicitly stated, but counting the number of ads I’ve posted this month, it's 20. That’s little, I think. It doesn’t even represent one ad a day.

So I also published on lebon*** and vint** but I usually do that as well. It helps speed up sales since we have a different audience across the 3 platforms.

It's frustrating because Facebook Marketplace was working well. Anyway, I don’t have any more answers than you do and I hope they will remove this update or expand it a bit because I repeat, 20 per month is really too few when you have a garage sale with a ton of boxes ????

Have a good evening

Good evening

For me as well, I am very troubled by this restriction, do we know why? Do you have any information?

Hello

Do you still have restrictions on the marketplace like I do? Is there a solution?

Thank you

I have the same problem and they aren’t saying anything about it???? I can't post an ad anymore, even when I've deleted some from my page

Whereas I’ve never had any issues before for 7 years

It’s a real mess on the marketplace lately, just problems without any responses ????????

Here’s what now displays after publishing 20 listings in the month:

You have reached your monthly limit of 20 listings

We now have a monthly limit on listings. You can create new listings on the first of the month or after. Learn more

If you click on "learn more":

There is now a limit on the number of new Facebook Marketplace listings you can create per calendar month. Once you have reached any of the following limits, you can’t create new listings for the rest of the month:

  • 5 listings in Vehicles
  • 5 listings in Auto Parts and Accessories
  • 5 listings in Homes for Sale or Rent
  • 20 total listings

Note:

  • Listing limits reset on the first day of each month.
  • Your listings will remain active after the limit resets and won’t count towards the limit for the new month.
  • Each listing created counts towards the limit, even if deleted.

For those who do not read English, I let you copy the text to have it translated by the internet.

Marketplace, not much interest anymore. I have only made 2 sales this month with this limit nonsense. Can’t wait for the 1st of September to be able to relist.

Good luck to everyone

Hello,

limit reached... There you go, I received this message today and I am quite stuck!

Have you found a solution on your side, please, since your last message?

Thank you

best regards

I have the same problem, and to answer you, even on a secondary account where I usually don't post any ads, I received the message as well. So this message is an unfounded judgment, but not a solution.

Hello too!

 but not a solution contribution

And for the rest, apart from criticizing what others are doing without any form of politeness, what concrete solution do you propose?
