Get rid of Facebook suggestions

Hello, for the past 2 or 3 months I've been overwhelmed by dozens of suggestions that appear instead of my friends' and groups' news, and I can't get rid of them. I've looked everywhere in settings and privacy, but I can't find the option for "similar page suggestions." These ads, videos, and completely ridiculous and crappy things that have no place invade my page, and I’m forced to scroll for a long time and hide them one by one, which takes forever, and new suggestions keep appearing. Please help me.

Hello,

apart from buying META (the parent company of Facebook) and changing the algorithm, there is nothing to be done.

Seriously? Just two months ago, I had absolutely none of this. If there were only one or two suggestions max, that would be fine, but I have dozens and dozens, it's frustrating! There's no way to go back to the old news from my friends and groups. Plus, all this just to show completely stupid videos that come from who knows where, or articles that I couldn't care less about. I find it hard to believe that Facebook has completely ruined everything to display completely dumb suggestions that no one cares about. I'm not the only one this is happening to, am I?

Hello,

Yes, it's definitely Facebook, it was indeed different before and even further back it was even more different... etc etc.

Facebook wants to make money, which is why it offers sponsored content, ads, etc... and in this, you are the nice pigeon... uh, users.

You can't do anything about it; if you want to see your friends' news, go see them.

Hello

Are you talking about ad suggestions? That is to say, everything that is sponsored?

If yes, you can't get rid of them... In your personal settings, you can control what type of ads you want to see (you can choose or prohibit certain themes, for example)... but don't expect miracles... Facebook is free... so it lives off ads.

And if you click on one of them... Facebook's algorithm will suggest others from the same advertiser... or the same theme....

;)

I understand that there can be ads. But at this point, this is just not possible; I can only see the latest updates from my friends that I haven't seen yet, but it's impossible to go back to the older ones. The rest is dozens, even hundreds, of stupid things. And I don't have many ads; I mostly have suggestions for dumb videos (videos of people falling or doing stupid things, a sort of internet blooper reel, stupid hacks and gadgets, etc.). No matter how much I block and report, I still get new ones appearing!

From experience, the more you try to get rid of them... the more you have... it's best to ignore them, that's the simplest thing...

As for friends, those you interact with the most will always show up on your feed... the ones you never check their profile or anything, they'll eventually disappear from your updates... unless you manually go to their page (see through the friends list) to see what they've posted... and like their posts...
