Deleting a folder in the Outlook application

Hello,

Even when deleting them in outlook.com, the folders remain visible in the app.

Is there a way to delete them in the app?

Hello,

I just did the manipulation.

On my PC, in Outlook.com I created a folder named "Bidon" (it's empty of all files)

I went to the Outlook app on my Samsung (Android) and the folder "Bidon" is present, I closed the app.

Back to the PC, opening Outlook.com, right-click on the folder "Bidon" / Delete // OK.

Opened the app on the Samsung, the folder "Bidon" has indeed been deleted.

Directly deleting a folder on the phone app seems impossible to me..

Windows 10 Pro, Windows 11 Pro, Brave.

However, with this workaround, we can only delete the fake folder in Outlook.com, and since we can't move messages and folders into this fake folder in the app, it's hopeless.

Too bad, the idea seemed good to me, but oh well.

The trouble is that over the years, I find myself with an enormous number of folders in the app.

I don’t quite understand, did you create all these folders?

Do all these manipulations on a PC and before deleting a folder you can move the emails it contains, and if you delete a folder that contains emails you can recover them (emails) in deleted items.

Yes, I created them.

They were created in Outlook.com, or even in msn.com, so it's been a while, which means I have a large number of folders in the app.

All the ones I deleted in Outlook.com are indeed deleted, but they still appear in the app.

It seems that it is not possible to delete folders in the app, as nothing has been done for that.

What I don't understand is how an email folder can be deleted on a PC but continue to show up in the app.

Yes, the app is updated.

I just did the manipulation again.

Creating a folder in Outlook.com, it is correctly reflected in the app.

Deleting it in Outlook.com, the folder remains in the app.
