White square issue on my screen

Hello,

My computer has a problem; it shows white rectangles all over my screen. Everything was working fine the day before, and I made no changes. When the white squares appear, the computer freezes and eventually shuts down by itself.

Thank you in advance

Hello Sikaria,
This image makes me think of a screen issue. The "white squares" are probably dead pixels.
Try connecting an "external monitor" just to check if it also shows these white pixels.

  1. If so, then your graphics processor has a problem...
  2. If not, then it is indeed your screen that has dead pixels, and for that, you have no choice but to replace it.

PS: You did very well to include the image, it's very clear like that! Well done!

Best regards!

Hi txiki,

Thanks for your reply.

I looked into it and the problem comes from my graphics card. When I display 3D models like in a video game or when I watch a YouTube video, the screen does this and then it closes. I checked the temperature of the graphics card, that's not the problem. I have an RTX 3060. I don't know if there are any software programs that are easy to understand for amateurs to figure out exactly what the problem is; I've only found software that's way too technical for me.

Thanks in advance :)
